Why there is no pop-up asking you about them

Because there is nothing to ask about. A website only needs your permission if it wants to store something on your device or read something already there. This site does neither, so a pop-up would be asking permission for something that never happens.

That also means the site loads faster and there is nothing in your way when you arrive.

What this site does not do

The site does run one small script of its own, and it is fair that you know about it. It draws the trim that moves between sections as you scroll. That is all it does. It stores nothing on your device, reads nothing already there, and makes no request to any server. Switch JavaScript off and every page still reads the same.

When you leave this site

Two buttons take you somewhere else, and only when you tap them:

Neither loads anything while you are on this site. Nothing happens until you tap.

What our server keeps

Like every website, our hosting keeps ordinary server logs for security, and those logs do record internet addresses. We do not read them for marketing and we build no profile from them.

Separately, when someone sends the enquiry form, our server keeps a one-way code made from their internet address to count requests within a one-hour window, so that one computer cannot flood us with hundreds of submissions. We cannot look at that code and read an address back from it, though we do not claim nobody could. Expired rate-limit files are cleaned during later form requests and may remain longer during quiet periods.

Everything about the enquiry form is on the privacy page.

If this ever changes

If we later add visitor statistics, this page will be updated first and you will be asked before anything is stored on your device. Refusing will be exactly as easy as accepting, one tap either way, and refusing will never stop you using any part of this site.
